Join us in educating the next generation
Our Buddhist school emphasizes the development of the core virtues of kindness, filial piety, respect, trustworthiness, fairness, citizenship, integrity and humility. Come help students achieve their full academic potential and become outstanding citizens who will contribute to making their community and the world a better place.

Campus
Situated on the grounds of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, a 488-acre Buddhist monastery and international community in the rural outskirts of Ukiah, 110 miles north of San Francisco. Read Welcome to the Monastery for more information on what it’s like to live there. Our schools educate boys and girls separately, creating an environment conducive to academic and personal growth.

Open Positions
We are always looking for teachers of any subject. We can also use help from additional residence hall assistants, as well as tutors. Ideal applicants will want to combine their work at the school with their spiritual practice.

Ideal Applicants
We are always looking for sincere teachers who believe in our mission. Many of our teachers are semi-retired, live off campus and teach part-time. Ideal applicants have an interest in not only teaching but further developing their spiritual practice. This school is within the grounds of a Buddhist monastery, so teachers can attend meditation sessions, attend ceremonies, and listen to Dharma lectures.

Compensation
We strive to find teachers who are passionate about the School’s mission and see their role as a volunteer service. For those who want to live within the monastery, a fixed stipend up to $500/month is provided as well as room & board. For those that live off campus, a stipend of $410 to $430 per month per class is available.
